FileMaker and business developer since 1989
My services
Tens of thousands of working hours saved at a chimney-sweeping company. SEK 220,000 a year at a recycling company. 80 per cent shorter production time at a publisher. A business system should save time and make it easier to make money.
Good to know
You own the solution
The whole solution I create belongs to you. The file is yours, the data is yours, the documentation is yours.
I own the rights to the tools, AI skills and other aids I use during development.
You own the end result.
Personal data is handled properly
A data processing agreement (GDPR) is signed before development starts.
Built for the long term
Already when something is being built, I ask whether it should handle one or many — one contact person at a company or fifteen, one user or a hundred. The difference in work is small when it is done from the start, and large when it is discovered afterwards.
If I fall ill
It is the only objection to a sole consultant that really holds. As an insurance, you have administrator rights to your own database files from day one. I develop according to a standard that any FileMaker consultant can follow, and the documentation is available to you. You are never locked in with me.
At the same time, turn the question around. Call a large consultancy at six in the evening and see how far you get.
AI in my work
I work with several AI services, all of them paid business-level subscriptions where the provider does not use the content to train its models.
During development, I primarily work with anonymised test data.
Confidentiality
Only the people involved in the project have access to what I am given. During development and support, your system may be hosted on my own FileMaker Server. It is used only for development work, never as a production environment.
Business development included
When you ask a question, you get a broader answer than which FileMaker feature I plan to build. That is the advantage of hiring a senior consultant.
If the collaboration doesn't work
It has happened that the relationship with a client did not work. On those occasions, I have helped with the handover to another consultant and made sure it was done properly.
If the two of us don't get along, that is never the client's problem. Your business should never come to a standstill because of it.
I can't help everyone
Sometimes the chemistry isn't right. We usually notice that quite quickly, and then I decline the project.
Since 1989, I have learnt what works and what doesn't, both in systems development and in personal relationships.
One client wanted a system built his way, even though the result would need a consultant for all eternity. He wouldn't listen, so I said no. If your expectations and my experience pull in different directions, I will tell you straight away.
How we get started
An introductory phone call
A short call where you tell me what isn't working. Book a time directly in my calendar, or call me and we'll talk right away.
A meeting with you
A first meeting of up to an hour, in Stockholm or online. Free of charge and with no obligation. You tell me what isn't working, and I ask the questions needed to understand it.
System review
If I think I can help you and the chemistry feels right, we continue with a review of your current system or a pre-study of the new need.
You get a basis for making a decision. Both are quoted according to scope, so you know what it costs before we start.
Plan
Then we draw up a plan. Either I develop continuously, or we divide the work into clearly defined projects.
I work remotely throughout Sweden, based in Stockholm, and I am happy to come on site when needed.
I see opportunities where others see drawbacks. If you have a system that isn't working, a need you haven't got to grips with, or just a question you don't know who to ask, get in touch.
